W.T. Lewis Elementary: K-3 Literacy Screener Home Connect letterswill be coming home today, May 5th, in DOG binders. The Literacy Screener is a quick screener given to Kindergarten through Third Grade students 3 times a year as a data point in foundational literacy skills that lead to a student's reading success. We use these screeners to determine necessary interventions or enrichments, and progress monitor in between to see how each student is progressing towards their reading goals. The Home Connect letters explain your child's results from the beginning of year screening and give some ideas of how you can support at home.
