🎉✨ Exciting News to End the School Year! ✨🎉
On this last day of school, we’re shouting from the rooftops to celebrate an incredible accomplishment by our very own Principal, Mrs. Burris! 🏆 She has advanced to being selected as a FINALIST for the 2026 Louisiana Department of Education Principal of the Year! 🌟
The Teacher and Principal of the Year semifinalists and finalists will be recognized during the Opening Session of the Teacher Leader Summit on June 10, 2025. That evening, they will also be celebrated at the Honoree Premier Reception at BB’s Stage Door Canteen inside the World War II Museum.
But that’s not all! On July 26, 2025, all TPOY honorees will be celebrated and honored at the 19th Annual Cecil J. Picard Educator Excellence Awards Gala, also at the World War II Museum in New Orleans.
Please join us in cheering on Mrs. Burris for this amazing achievement! We are so proud of her dedication and leadership. 🥳🎉
