Louisiana has launched a statewide Power of Presence initiative to address chronic absenteeism and truancy—and we're on board!
At Benton Intermediate, we know that every day counts. Regular attendance and arriving on time are key to academic success, building friendships, and staying connected. This year, there are new district guidelines in place, and we want all of our families to be informed and prepared.

📢 Important Message Regarding BIS Attendance 📢
Please email our Attendance Secretary when your student is absent at Amy.Carney@bossierschools.org. Doctors’ notes may also be emailed to this address, or dropped off to the office.
If your student is sick for an extended period of time, please be sure to take a picture of the doctor’s note and email it to Amy.Carney@bossierschools.org. This will help ensure that their attendance is recorded properly.
